MAPE – Museum of Bees of Palmanova and the Ecosystem

Located inside the keep of Porta Aquileia, the MAPE is the first stop of an educational itinerary that continues through the Bastions’ meadows and ends at the Napoleonic Lunette, where visitors can observe bees at work.
This multimedia and multisensory educational museum experience is dedicated to bees, pollinators and the biodiversity of the permanent grasslands surrounding the Bastions of Palmanova. Visitors can discover how the world of bees functions and why their existence is so important for the environment and ecosystems.
