Admire the bronze and copper scale model of Palmanova (scale 1:1000). By scanning the QR codes with a smartphone, virtual reality will reveal Palmanova in four different historical periods: the Renaissance era, the Napoleonic era, during the First World War and today.
Do not miss the opportunity to meet nine Augmented Reality characters. Three are located around the scale model: Giulio Savorgnan (1590), the visionary engineer; François Bouvier (1809), one of Napoleon’s officers; and Giacomo Bearzi, an innkeeper from Piazza Grande during the destruction of the First World War.
The other six characters can be found around Piazza Grande, near the lamp post on the right-hand side at the entrance of each street: Marcantonio Barbaro, the first General Superintendent; Gio Batta Porto, Governor of Arms; Iseppe Baldiolo, the mercenary musketeer; Zorzi Marcovich, the mounted “Cappelletto”; Giulia Calame, patriot and nurse of the Venetian Crusaders; and Quirino Bordignoni, the townsman celebrating the annexation to the Kingdom of Italy.
